Our people make a difference.
WTI employees do more than just operate America's leading incineration facility. From coaching youth sports to serving as volunteer responders and firefighters, our people are involved in the community. The double-bottom line: Contributing to our community and being a good neighbor Although our facility represents a sizeable investment in Columbiana County, Ohio, an investment that generates property and income taxes for local government, we are not satisfied with just paying our taxes. To be truly successful, we believe it is important to put a share of our earnings to work in our community. Even before operations began, we have been helping worthy causes, charitable organizations and deserving individuals with donations, grants and volunteer services. More often than not, we choose to do so quietly. We would like to hear from you if you have a project or an event that may be worthy of our support. We invite you to download the attached request form for donations and return it to us at: WTI, 1250 St. George St., East Liverpool, OH 43920, ATTN: Donation Request. Our review committee will let you know if we are able to help. Thank you. Some examples of our contributions to the community follow: Household hazardous waste collection: Recycled and disposed of more than 40 tons for free since 1997. Tipping fee: Our voluntary financial gift to the City of East Liverpool ($1.4 million since 2001). Environmental grants: More than $37,320 since 1998. East Liverpool payroll tax: Approximately $120,000 annually. Columbiana County property tax: More than $97,000 annually. East Liverpool school tax: More than $2,400 annually. We are an active member of the East Liverpool Area Chamber of Commerce. And we support the Columbiana County Port Authority and its work in promoting economic development in the county.
