Several WTI employees surveyed the company's undeveloped land and saw an opportunity. They began removing invasive plant species, nurturing a meadow of native wildflowers and grasses, and installing and monitoring nesting boxes for birds. Their efforts have been recognized by the nationally acclaimed Wildlife Habitat Council, which has certified the site in its registry of members.
